Meet Gladys:
Gladys Kangau is our very first Global Matrescence Ambassador, based in Kenya, Africa.
Having received a full scholarship to complete the Mama Rising Certification in 2021, Gladys has since established monthly Mother's Support Groups for local mothers in need, providing support, coaching, and much needed sanitary products and baby products.
With the monthly support of the Foundation,
Gladys has also created her own Matrescence affirmation cards and stall at the local markets where she educates the community about Matrescence and the need to support mothers differently and currently provides one-on-one postpartum and coaching support to a number of new mothers in her area.
With the support of the Foundation, Gladys also created a unique day of care in honour of Mother's Day for the local women, and again was able to gift them much-needed items like sanitary products, salt, soap and laundry detergent.
Gladys's vision as a Mama Rising Ambassador is to create her own podcast to give the mothers of Kenya a voice, and to reclaim their own stories of Matrescence, and eventually be able to train other women as Mama Rising Coaches.
