It is lovely to virtually meet you.

Professionally, I am an accredited Psychotherapist and have been supporting people to overcome mental health difficulty and struggle since 2009. I feel privileged to be trusted with the stories of each and every one of my clients. It is the honour of my life to support them to life the life that they love and to love themselves.

Personally, I am many a thing, one of which is a mama! The most beautiful AND challenging role of my life.

I found becoming a Mum incredibly challenging. Why did this not feel like everyone told me it would feel? Who even am I now? Is this it? Is this my life now? Maybe I was never meant to be a mother.
I knew at the time that I was not experiencing any clinical depression or anxiety based on my professional knowledge. But I knew something did not feel right.

Discovering Matrescence for me was the true beginning of becoming the woman and Mother that I was always meant to be.

Being a Psychotherapist I could see that there was something missing from the perinatal mental health field. It was an understanding of what it means to be a mother. How it really FEELS to become a mother and move through Motherhood.

I knew I needed to use my experience and professional expertise to support ALL mothers to use Motherhood as an opportunity to find themselves. To love themselves. To mother, their way.
